Been a while since I last posted a blog. Much water under the bridge. Life seems to have drifted backwards in Fiji. The bright spot is however our 15's Rugby team, who continue to perform well.
This weeks IRB Pacific Nations Cup game against an "Australia A" side replete with 12 Wallabies, will be the test. After almost accounting for the Maori ABs, who had 4 fully fledged ABs in the side, in a close contest that was only won by the Maoris by 4 points, (9 points for Fiji went begging with 3 easy penalties missed by newly minted test fullback Rawaqa), there is a chance, all be it a very very slim one that an upset could be in the making this weekend.
The Australians will be a different kettle of fish however, and coach Ili Tabua and captain Moji will have to motivate the Flying Fijians to extract a level of performance equal to that of the Wales game in the 2007 World Cup quarterfinal decider, to pull off the upset.
Go Fiji Go!
